Light finds
its place.

Highlights lighten selected sections to add brightness and contrast. At Rové in Delray Beach, full or partial foil placement can create fine ribbons, face-framing light or a more defined change, guided by your cut, natural color and preferred finish.

The approach

A fine detail.
A different feeling.

  1. Choose the contrast

Talk about the brightness you want and where you would like to see it.

  2. Shape the placement

Full or partial foil highlights let your artist work with different levels of coverage.

  3. Find the tone

Consider the final shade and a care plan for your newly highlighted hair.

Painted placement

Balayage

Hand-painted sections create a gradual blend of brightness and depth. Think soft transitions and light placed through the lengths.

Where the
light belongs.

What is the difference between partial and full highlights?

Partial highlights focus on selected areas, often around the face and upper sections. Full highlights cover more of the head. Your artist can recommend coverage based on how you wear your hair and where you want brightness.

Are highlights only for blonde hair?

No. Highlights can add dimension to brunette and red shades too. The tone and contrast are chosen around your starting color; previous color may affect what can be achieved in one visit.

Should I choose highlights or balayage?

Foils give your artist controlled sectioning and coverage; balayage uses hand-painted placement. Bring references for the result you like. Your artist may use one technique or combine them to suit your hair.

How much do highlights cost, and when should I return?

Coverage, hair length and density, previous color and your artist’s approach affect the quote and appointment time. Ask what is included and agree on a return plan for regrowth and tone before leaving.
